Shear Legs, A-Frames & Gantries

The APL Tripod is an aluminium lightweight multi-user tripod designed for man riding, fall arrest and rescue and comes with three quick fit brackets.

The APL Tripod is intended to be used for the lifting and lowering of equipment and personnel or as an anchor point for fall arrest for the prevention of falls. For personnel protection the tripod must be used in conjunction with certified fall arrest equipment.

The APL Tripod complies with EN 795: 2012 (Type B) for attachment of 1 user and with CEN/TS 16415: 2013 (Type B) for the protection of up to 6 persons simultaneously.

The APL Tripod has multiple adjustment points and has a fully extended height of 2.56m making it ideal for many applications.

The APL Tripod can also be used for lifting goods to a maximum capacity of 500kg but this should never be done whilst people are in suspension.

The Ash Cadmium Plated Tripod is designed to accept either man riding winches like the Rollgliss or Didsbury, or for goods lifting with chainblocks or any other unit that can be located to an eyebolt.

The tripod features high level supporting struts so as to ensure that the leg bracing does not impede the access to the confined space. The tripod is rated for goods lifting to 500 kgs and weighing only 20 kgs is one of the lightest 500 kg rated tripods available.

To support the Didsbury winch there is also a specifically designed option that has two high level supporting struts and one lower where the winch can be rested to give more control for the top man.

Camlok Shear Legs are available in varying safe weight lifts and heights, from 500 kgs to 5000 kgs. They can also be manufactured as split leg design, meaning that the legs can be taken in half to make them easier to transport.

These units are normally quoted on an individual basis, so the units shown are what we have available in the hire fleet and those that we have supplied previously.

The Reid Porta-Gantry Rapide was developed as a rapid deployment, lightweight gantry with a 500kg lifting capacity. With a width of 2216mm and adjustable height from 2189mm to 2389mm and base width of 1158mm this is truly portable.

The gantry whilst being rated at 500kgs for goods is also classified as EN795-Class B for fall arrest and man riding for up to 3 personnel.

The Reid Porta-Gantry offers a 2000kg WLL and can be supplied with a choice of 3 beam lengths.

Made from lightweight aluminium this gantry offers an easy to erect solution over large access points and adjustable in height from 2.503 to 3.253 metres or 3.281 to 4.481 metres.

The gantry whilst being rated at 2000kgs for goods is also classified as EN795-Class B for fall arrest and man riding for up to 4 personnel.
