Genesi offer three flush mount bases in two different sizes to support the davit systems available.

The 77mm bases are compatible with the SC3, SC6NW and SC6F systems and the 103mm bases are compatible with the SC12NW system.

The bases are made of AISI 304 stainless steel which has excellent performance and corrosion resistance with a PVC inner sleeve and have a 360° mast rotation.

All davit sleeves require a visual inspection every 6 months with a detailed and thorough examination including a load test every 12 months.

The Reid Top Mount Socket is suitable for bolting into existing concrete, steel structures or through fixing in other substrates. They are secured using 4 x M16 anchors (not supplied). They are available for both the 65mm and 95mm kingpin diameter davits.

They are suitable for use with the full Reid davit range and certified to EN795:2021 and meet the requirements of IRATA ICOP. The galvanised steel top mount 65 meets the requirement of BS8610:2017.

When fixing sockets to structures, customers must always seek the guidance of a suitably qualified engineer to ensure that the structure is able to support the required loads.

The Reid Side Mount Socket is suitable for mounting on the side of concrete or steel structures and a brace plate can be supplied for thin-walled concrete. They are secured using M16 anchors (not supplied). They are available for both the 65mm and 95mm kingpin diameter davits.

They are suitable for use with the full Reid davit range and certified to EN795:2021 and meet the requirements of IRATA ICOP. The galvanised steel side mount 65 meets the requirement of BS8610:2017.

They are manufactured from lightweight aluminium and designed to provide additional lift height or reach over obstacles. They are certified for EN795:2012 up to a 1600mm radius and meet the requirements of IRATA ICOP up to a 1200mm radius. They are available in 3 standard height options; 500mm, 800mm and 1100mm.

The Reid Socket extensions are suitable for use with Reid 65mm kingping davits combined with 65mm fixed sockets to provide additional lift height or reach over obstacles. They are certified for EN795:2012 up to a 1600mm radius and meet the requirements of IRATA ICOP up to a 1200mm radius. They are available in 3 standard height options; 500mm, 800mm and 1100mm.

They are made from lightweight aluminium alloy with handles for lifting and carrying. Simple insert them into the existing socket and assemble a standard davit as normal using the extension as the socket.

Socket extensions must not be used with a pedestal.

The Flush Core Mount Base High Capacity fixed base is the perfect solution for siting your davit socket if you have a suitable concrete base to mount it in. Please ensure that your concrete conforms to the strength requirements needed. Simply core drill the concrete and set the Core Mount in place using a suitable resin anchor. Because there is no up-stand they pose little risk as a trip hazard and insertion of the davit masts parts is easy.

The Floor Mount Base High Capacity fixed base is ideal if there is little room to site a davit or there are other items in close proximity as the mounting base is 30.48cm square.

Fitted using 4 studs if in concrete, or bolts if on steel or other suitable surfaces, the process is as simple as it gets. Please ensure that your concrete conforms to the strength requirements needed for this sleeves use.

The Floor Mount Base High Capacity does stand proud and may be a trip hazard and this should be considered when conducting your risk assessment.

The Wall Mount Base High Capacity fixed base is perfect when the area to be accessed may only have a concrete up-stand or be on the internal or external wall of a tank or silo. It is fitted using either 4 studs if in concrete, or bolts if on steel or other suitable surfaces.

The Flush Core Mount Base High Capacity fixed base offers the possibility of being used where the concrete is not of sufficient depth to take the Core Mount although it requires an amount of work to set it so that it can be used in a flush position. The easier way can be to core drill for the sleeve and then to resin anchor into place. The unit can also be used on other suitable surfaces as it can be bolted into place as the socket sleeve is designed to be able to cope with the loadings. As with all davit bases please ensure the surface being mounted to is able to take the loadings required.

The Deck Mount Base High Capacity fixed base is a truly versatile way of placing a davit sleeve where you have a suitable surface such as steel. Simply drill the appropriate hole(s), insert the davit base and bolt the bottom mounting plate to the underside. The upper and lower flanges ensure that the sleeve will cope with the forces required. As with all davits bases please ensure that your design conforms to the loadings required of the base you are fitting.

Protect your davit sleeves from filling with detritus with a debris cap. The lifting eye sits within the unit to reduce any trip hazard.

Our anchor fixing kits include resin, 2 nozzles, stainless nuts, bolts and washers for davit bases and height safety anchor points.

We also have the correct sizes of diamond core drill bits and SDS hammer drill bits available to suit the installation along with ETA resin that is tested for use with both diamond core or impact drill installation.

The fittings provided in our kits are stainless steel so they will conform to water industry standards. Once your installation has hardened it can then be tested using our STAHT Bluetooth tester to the manufacturers and standards requirements so that a certificate of conformity can be issued.

Cone widths do need to be understood and if you scan the QR Code on our kits it will take you to a video of how to do the install correctly and then you are also able to complete a Fischer online test to show that you fully understand how to conduct and test the install correctly.
