Fixed Lifeline Systems
Horizontal Lifeline Systems
Lifeline systems can be installed for both restraint or fall arrest and the design process will consider many factors before a final solution is proposed.
Where work at height is unavoidable a restraint system is considered as the safest method of working at height by removing the potential for a fall and can determine the path that a user needs to follow and what they are able to access.
Fall arrest systems are designed to limit the consequences of a fall if they occur. There are additional considerations such as the fall distance and ensuring that there is sufficient clearance for the user to be brought to a controlled stop. Where it has been determined that fall arrest is a requirement a full rescue plan must be available in order to swiftly recover any person who has taken a fall.
Genesi Lifeline Systems
Genesi offer a range of horizonal lifelines with deformable or non-deformable energy absorbers to provide the safest system depending on the application. The required operation and the strength of the structure will determine which of the systems needs to be installed.
With a wide range of accessory components available they can be installed on all types of buildings and surfaces. Depending on the system selected, they can support up to four operators at the same time.
The lifelines are made of stainless steel or with aluminium elements to offer the best solution for the enviromental resistance required for your installed location.
The Genesi lifeline range includes:
- Trilob Lifeline:
Supports up to four operators and is an extremely high-performance anchor with components made of micro-cast stainless steel to combine lightweight with excellent mechanical and corrosion resistance. The energy absorber incorporated into the system allows installation even on metal roofs with limited thickness because its high deformability dissipates kinetic energy in the event of a fall. The reduced dimensions of its elements guarantee a low visual impact and is ideal for securing to all types of buildings, even those with a high historical and architectural value. - Libera Lifeline:
Supports up to two operators it is a flexible anchor line made of die-cast aluminium alloy that combines lightness with mechanical and corrosion resistance. A versatile line that is ideal for securing industrial and residential roofs. - Exagon Lifeline:
Is available in 15, 20 and 45m lengths and can be used by three operators at the same time. The lifeline is quick and easy to install thanks to the direct mechanical cable attachment, characterised by a low visual impact. - Allukemi Plus Lifeline:
Supports up to four operators and combines the lightness of aluminium with optimum protection performance in the event of a fall. Thanks to its characteristics it is also suitable for use during rescue operations.
The systems have been certified according to industry standards, including EN 795:2012 Type C, CEN/TS 16415:2013, UNI 11578:2015, and EN 353-1:2014+A1:2017

The system offers a fully traversable solution where the user can move freely with the Slyder device that can pass freely over all brackets and corner elements allowing access and egress without the need for specific entry and exit terminals.
The components are made of a high grade austenitic stainless steel and the seals are EPDM and NBR ensuring chemical and corrosion resistance and lifetime waterproofing.
The SOTOR II system is suitable for use with many roofing types including trapezoidal, composite, standing-seam, bituminous and single ply roof systems.
The system has been independently tested and certified by SATRA to fully comply with all current UK and European standards: EN795:2012 class A & C; CEN/TS16415:2013 UNI11578.

The overhead or wall mounted fall protection systems offers continuous fall protection for users in exposed work place situations.
The removable traveller allows smooth travel along the wire and can pass over and around the system brackets and components.
The components are a high grade austenitic stainless steel and the seals are EPDM and NBR ensuring chemical and corrosion resistance and lifetime waterproofing.
The system is available in two options:
- Multi-span overhead system:
Allows for multiple spans and deviations with a maximum of 250m in length with wall mounted internal and external corners if needed. - High tension single-span overhead system:
A single span of up to 30m in length without intermediate brackets. Supports up to 4 users on a straight line run only.
The system has been independently tested and certified by SATRA to EN795:2012 and CEN/TS16415:2013 for Type C applications.

Vertical Lifeline Systems
Vertical lifeline systems ensure safety for workers accessing ladders, masts, pylons, wind turbines, communication towers and other such structures.
They enables mobility up and down the entire height of the line, eliminating the need to disconnect and find a new tie-off point along the way. An anchor point travels with you so that you have the mobility to climb with hands free protection.
Genesi Vertical Lifeline System
The Vertical X system offers protection for up to three operators and is suitable for structure such as ladders, vertical walkways, pylons, lattice towers and telecommunication towers. It consists of a versatile anchor line that can be installed on the upright or rungs of existing ladders or directly on load-bearing structures.
The trolley used with the system is equipped with an energy absorber, certified to EN 355, to limit the stopping force to 6 kN and the system is certified according to EN 353-1:2014+A1:2017 and CE marked. The trolley ensures the operator is brought to a safe stop in the event of a slip or fall and can be engaged or disengaged at any point in the system.
The system components are made of stainless steel for increased corrosion resistance.

Cabloc Vertical Cable System
The Cabloc vertical cable system is easy and quick to install on a variety of structures including ladders, monopoles, masts, pylons, wind turbines and lighting columns. The system can be installed on structures that incline up to 15 degrees.
The components are made from high-quality materials with corrosion-resistant finishes that can stand up to a wide range of aggressive environments. The 8mm cable used with the system is available in both galvanised and stainless steel and can be ordered in the length required for your installation. There is an optional ladder extension bracket that can be included to enable safer connection and disconnection at the top of the ladder.
The Cabloc traveller can be attached and detached at any point along the cable to allow for access to platforms and adjacent work areas. Once attached the traveller automatically follows the user and locks in the event of a fall. This allows the user uninterrupted movement during accent and decent whilst maintaining safety.
The traveller has an anti-inversion feature that prevents the user from mounting it on the cable incorrectly. An integrated energy absorber reduces the maximum fall arrest force and acts as a fall indicator.
The Cabloc system is CE marked and conforms to EN 353-1:2014. The traveller is suitable for a single user with a maximum weight of 140kg.
The system is available in kits that include all the components required or they can be purchased individually for a custom system.

Lad-Saf Flexible Cable Vertical Safety System
The Lad-Saf flexible cable vertical safety system can be easily installed on structures such as fixed ladders, telecommunication towers and more to provide fall arrest when ascending and descending. The system can be set for 2 or 4 users and meets the requirements of EN353-1:2014.
The system can be used on a variety of fixed ladder styles that may consist of different rung spacings and shapes:
- Rung spacings: 200 - 310mm
- Cylindrical Rung: 19 - 40mm diameter
- Square Rung: 19 - 40mm
- Diamond Rung: 19 - 40mm height
- Angle Iron: 19 - 40mm leg height
- Rectangular Rung: 19 - 40mm height, 19 - 48mm width
The top connector for the system has an integrated fall arrest rated anchor point and a climb extension can be included to enable safer connection and disconnection at the top of the ladder.
The 9.5mm cable for the system comes pre-swaged at the desired length in either galvanised or stainless steel and is offered in the following increments:
- 5m to 10m in 1m increments
- 10m to 50m in 2m increments
- 50m to 100m in 5m increments
The Lad-Saf X3 detachable cable sleeve is a portable connection device that connects the worker's harness to the ladder cable. It glides freely up and down the cable without further handling. In the event of a fall the sleeve locks onto the cable and arrests the fall and will remain locked until the worker can regain their footing.
The system has two independent locking mechanisms and an integrated energy absorber to reduce the maximum fall arrest force. This absorber also acts as a fall indicator showing the device has been deployed and needs to be removed from service. The X3 detachable cable sleeve has a swivel end connector to provide the user with increased mobility while climbing. The cable sleeve is approved for use by 1 user with a maximum weight of 140kg.
