This City & Guilds Training Scheme 6150 is the new Water
Industry Standard. All regions participated in its formulation
so that it would be accepted anywhere in the country. Each
trainee will be trained to a pre-set standard which if successful
will lead to registration of a unit which is held on a database
at City & Guilds. The successful candidates will also
receive a certificate for each unit passed.

The High Risk event objectives
are to achieve the following retained knowledge:
- Monitoring the atmosphere and having a structured
plan of action in place to deal with any anomaly,
along with a reporting procedure.
- Use of self contained breathing apparatus as part
of the planned means of self rescue
- Re-entry into the confined space whilst under alarm
situation using full breathing apparatus to complete
a task and the documentation of all events in line
with the Water Industry Standards. This event covers
the entry into NC4.
This course will instil in the candidate how to formulate
documentation and procedures along with all of the equipment
requirements to undertake entry into the relevant confined
space category. |
Certification is valid for a period of three years for any
unit the candidate successfully passed.
