Crowcon Detective+

The Detective+ Transportable Area Monitor is based on the highly successful Triple Plus+ and Detective models, building on the reputation, reliability and versatility of its forebears. Detective+ is inherently rugged and robust, with a sturdy fixed or folding leg protective frame options.

Loud and clear alarms can be transmitted between Detective+ units while an optional built in pump allows faster gas response and better sensor protection. Detective+ may now be equipped with infra-red sensor technology, which provides either CO² detection, or allows higher flammable gas level monitoring and immunity to the poisoning effects which standard flammable gas sensors can suffer from.

There are now two options for battery capacity, either 36 hours or 60 hours with standard configuration, providing remote sites with extended usage in-between charges. Crowcon Triple Plus+

The Triple Plus family has set the standard for portable multigas monitors with their combination of ruggedness, reliability, ease of use, and full flexibility of sensor combinations for flammable gases, oxygen and toxic gases.

Intrinsically safe, the Triple Plus+ has provided enhanced facilities including selection of flammable gas correction factors, and annotation of the data file with user names and site names selected from pre-configured files in the unit.

The Crowcon Triple Plus+ is a well proven unit and probably the most recognised gas detector on sale all around the world. It has been the mainstay of many hire fleets and still continues to be a good unit for where you need a plug and play sensor option.

Crowcon Triple Plus+ IR

Triple Plus + IR is the latest version of the Triple Plus + utilising infrared sensing technology for detection and measurement of flammable hydrocarbons. IR sensors are suitable for both high gas concentrations and for use in inert (oxygen free) backgrounds. The unique design of the Crowcon IR sensor module used in Triple Plus + IR allows measurement of hydrocarbons at both %LEL and %volume ranges making this instrument ideal for tank and line purging applications.

A version of Triple Plus Plus IR is also available for carbon dioxide detection in the range of 0-5%.

GFG-450

GFG offer many units where long term performance and durability are the overriding factor. These units are not the cheapest to start out with, but do work out very economical over a 3 or 5 year period. The units offer 3 year cell warranty and whilst there is a standard 4 gas unit there are also other units that will take many plug and play cells. This makes it probably the best expandable unit on sale at this time.

GFG-460

GfG’s new intrinsically safe G460 is a rugged, compact instrument for simultaneous detection of up to 6 gases. Installed sensor options include infrared (NDIR) for CO² and PID for VOC measurements. The G460 offers completely automatic calibration, one-button operation, top mounted display and interchangeable battery packs.

The GFG-460 can be specified to your exact requirements and can look for up to 6 gases if the duo-tox sensor is used. The unit though still remains small enough to be worn clipped to a jacket or pocket. There is also added peace of mind in that the unit has a water rating of 5 and 7 which means that the unit can take complete submersion to a depth of 1 metre for a period of up to half an hour.

MSA Altair 4

The Altair 4 offers a very cost effective gas detector without the need to compromise. The unit offers monitoring of up to 4 gases, these being, flammable, oxygen, hydrogen sulphide and carbon monoxide. It’s small, tough, compact and waterproof, add to this a man down alert option and it’s the right choice.

All sensors have a 2 year warranty and the bright LED alarm lights, audible pitch and easy to read display make it an excellent choice for your team.

Sperian Multivision

The MultiVision is a multi-gas detector designed to provide reliable safety at the touch of just one button. The MultiVision is available with up to four independent sensors for the detection of oxygen, combustible gases and vapours, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide.

The MultiVision features an extra large liquid crystal display (LCD) and an optional built-in sample pump, yet it is small enough to carry in your hand or clip to your belt. The MultiVision is loaded with numerous features that are critical for working safely in confined spaces.

If you have problems with water damage then this is your prayer answered. Multivision is available in 2, 3 or 4 cell versions and can be upgraded at any time. The truly amazing thing though is that it can actually be submerged for up to half an hour to a depth of 1 metre without any water ingress. Now that is probably the biggest cost saving you can get. Add to that the unit is ATEX approved and offers a two year warranty on all cells and you quite simply have the most reliable cost efficient gas detector available

Sperian MultiPro

The MultiPro offers real time readings for up to 4 gases, true one-button operation (including calibration), and the option of a built-in event logger capable of storing information for 20 events including sensor type, max and average readings, time and duration.

It's available with either a Li-Ion or an Alkaline battery pack and offers run times up to 22 hours. For remote sampling, both manual and motorized sample draw kits are available.

The MultiPro is the most versatile gas detector on sale if you want to self calibrate and keep a fully auditable tracking system of work, bump testing and calibrations that have taken place. The unit will automatically self calibrate and also produce a test certificate, this functionality can be shown to any operative, even one who has no previous experience in this field. The Calibration Dock will not allow a calibration if the unit fails, hence it runs a fully integrated fail safe system.

The PGD2 Mentor portable gas detector is an intrinsically-safe portable multi-gas instrument for use in Group IIC potentially explosive atmospheres. The instrument is intended to be used for the protection of personnel entering or working in an environment where a gas hazard may, or is known to exist.

The instrument produces both an audible and visual alarms if any of the monitored gas levels fall outside pre-set limits. It can be fitted with up to 4 gas sensors in various combinations of flammable, toxic and oxygen to provide simultaneous monitoring of each gas.

The data logging facilities available within the instrument allow the exposure levels for each gas to be stored for downloading to a personal computer at the end of the work period. The instrument also automatically calculates the STEL and LTEL values for each gas as required by the COSHH regulations in the United Kingdom. Pumped versions are available at additional cost.
