Safegate Barrier
Safegate barriers are a quick, light and easy solution used to protect an open manhole or minor excavation in a pathway. They are typically used in three or four gate configurations but with additional barriers they can be linked together to make larger frames.
The barriers have powdered coated metal frames with two red and white rigid reflective plastic panels on each gate and are compliant with NRSWA.
The robust plastic clips allow each gate to rotate through 360 degrees whilst attached to the next gate and fold flat for easy transport.
These barriers can be used with Gate Weights© to increase the stability of the barrier without causing obstruction or trip hazards to pedestrians.
Gate Size: 750mm wide x 1000mm high, weight per gate is 2.5kg.
The prices shown are for individual panels but they are usually used as a minimum of four to form a square.

Gate Weight
The Gate Weight© designed by Ashfield Products Ltd allows Safe Gate Barriers to be left unattended. The units allow full movement for entry whilst making a very strong base that can also be staked down for increased rigidity.
Weighing only 5.9 kgs each the Gate Weight© design is made so as not to cause obstruction or trip hazards to pedestrians. A must for small works excavations on pathways.
Standard units are galvanised but these can be powder coated in your company colour for minimum orders of 50.
The Gate Weight© can only be used in association with the Safe Gate Barriers. Two gate weights should be used as a minimum per rectangular frame.
Safegate Plastic Barrier
The Safegate Plastic Barrier is designed for small excavations usually around manhole repairs, cable laying and other temporary works. They can also be used to protect areas requiring temporary restriction such as wet floors or other work in progress.
The system comprises of a set of high-visibility hinged gates usually in a 3 or 4 way configuration that fold flat for easy transportation and storage. They can be linked together to form larger barriers although they are not intended for true excavations. Integral locking clamps aid stability when the barriers are deployed in a straight line.
Small, light and compact they are ideal for utility companies and small street works. These barriers are compliant with Chapter 8 Streetworks.
