City & Guilds Certification Scheme 5831

Ashfield Safety Hire are pleased to announce their new status of satelite training centre to South West Water. Under the new UK Water Confined Space and Breathing Apparatus City & Guilds Scheme 5831. 

 
   
  • Unit 821. Safe entry into NC1 category confined spaces.
  • Unit 822. Safe entry into NC2, NC3 and NC4 confined spaces using compressed air escape breathing apparatus as part of the planned means of self rescue.
  • Unit 823. Safe entry into NC2, NC3 and NC4 confined spaces using oxygen re-breather escape sets as part of the planned means of self rescue.
  • Unit 824. Use of self contained breathing apparatus as part of the planned means of self rescue at NC2, NC3 and NC4 category confined spaces.
  • Unit 825. Top man safety duties at NC2, NC3 and NC4 confined space entries.
  • Unit 826. Using self contained breathing apparatus in hostile atmospheres.
  • Unit 972. Supervision of work at confined spaces categories NC2, NC3 and NC4.
Equipment Training
We will endeavor to provide a broad spectrum of equipment for you to use. This will help you in your training by identifying the variety of different ways manufacturers label their products and help in identifying the correct type of product to use.

Training on self contained breathing apparatus, it is important that you make us aware of the types of equipment you use so that we can select units for you to take. We carry a range of B.A. sets from Drager and Sabre, as well as chemical escape sets from Drager and MSA.

Who Should Attend

  • Staff of any discipline who may be required to enter confined spaces or those having responsibility for staff employed in confined space working.
  • Persons attending should be medically fit for entry into confined space. This will be verified prior to starting the course.
