QLTK1 Face Fit Test Kit and Consumables
The QLTK1 Face Fit Test Kit introduces a qualitative respiratory fit test for tight fitting respirators in line with the COSHH (Control of Substance Hazardous to Health) and the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) regulations for the mandatory testing of respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
The kit works by the detection or otherwise of a harmless, bitter tasting solution of Bitrex® during a series of different exercises over a period of time.

Qualitative Face Fit Testing Kit
The Qualitative Face Fit Testing Kit is intended to fit test any tight fitting particulate respirator or gas/vapour respirator fitted with a particulate prefilter.
The kit works by the detection of a harmless bitter tasting solution of Bitrex during a series of different exercises over a period of time.
The kit contains:
- Test Hood
- Collar
- 2 Bottles of Solution (1 Sensitivity, 1 Fit Test)
- 2 Nebulisers (1 Sensitivity, 1 Fit Test)
- Instruction Manual
- 10 Report Forms
The kit can be used as both a test method to ensure correctly fitting masks and also as an effective means of training in the correct way to fit a mask ensuring that the masks operate effectively.
This kit is not suitable for the testing of full face masks.
