The ELSA-10-B & 15-B are easy to don escape sets ideal for emergency evacuation of a confined space. Due to the rubber neck seal personnel do not have to be clean shaven. The hood allows a wide field of vision so that obstacles can easily be avoided. The set is activated on opening, ensuring an immediate, no fuss escape.

Sabre Centurion

Sabre Centurion and Contour Sets We offer either Centurion or Contour 100 breathing apparatus by Sabre. All of our centurion sets are fitted with Bio Lines so that they can be used in conjunction with the Astral Air trolley. The full B.A. set offers an increased protection, by having a positive pressure to the face mask, where as the fresh air set offers positive volume. These sets can provide up to a 55 minute working duration, dependent upon cylinder size. Both Centurion and Contour sets offer a first breath facility as well as a manual override. The Panaseal face mask is a dual sealing mask which offers a good seal, but unshaven personnel may not get a true air tight seal, a pre use test will confirm if this is the case.

Sabre Contour

Sabre Module-Air Trolley

The Modul-Air & Astral trolley sets offers a longer duration where full B.A. is required to be used with cylinders being changed by the top man. With the use of a ’Y’ piece with 5m tails 2 people can operate from the trolley. All of our hire fleet sets are fitted with in line filter sets so that they can be run in conjunction with a compressor, this means that the cylinders are then used as a back up. The use of a compressor allows continual use without the need for extra cylinders or recharges (An Air Purity Test is Required if you are Using a Compressor). It should be remembered that an escape set is still required and that a realistic time for escape must be allowed, a 10 minute set if it takes 15 minutes will be of no use.

 

MSA 30/100 Chemical Set

The MSA 30/100 chemical breathing set is small, comfortable and offers a much longer escape time, making these sets ideal for tunneling. The set converts Carbon dioxide which is exhaled into oxygen, as is shown in the picture on the left it is light and easy to wear. These sets are designed for emergency use in a gas alarm situation, as unlike the Sabre-10 & 15-B they carry a significant recharge cost. Although these sets do allow up to an hour escape time, thus making them a necessity in certain situations and the most effective answer. The set has a lead tag situated at the front which shows that the seal has not been broken, sets require very little maintenance and have a very long shelf life. These sets are standard stock items on our hire fleet although sales are to order they are normally available in 5 to 6 working days.


MSA Fresh Air Breathing Apparatus

MSA fresh air assisted breathing prevents user fatigue, and a built in overflow valve provides a balanced flow preventing discomfort to the eyes. Twin breathing hoses mean that the user can use tools/shovels etc. without impedance. Fresh air is blown along a supply hose to one or two users as required. One or two users with varying supply lengths from 9-54 metres each. Air flow greater than 120 1/min is available to the user on "1 man" selection and at "Min Flow" setting. The user can then increase the airflow if desired. When a second user connects to the Turbo-Flo Blower the "2 Man" position is selected and this automatically ensures flow greater than 120 1/min for each user. Again the airflow can be increased from the "Min Flow" setting is required.


Firefly II

The FIREFLY II ADSU (Automatic Distress Signaling Unit) is a battery operated compact alarm that automatically signals for help if the wearer becomes injured. The unit provides Ex rated protection to personnel who could be injured and not noticed due to their location. The unit will raise the first alarm if it has not detected motion for 20 seconds. If after a further 8 seconds the wearer is still motionless a second alarm will activate.
Weighing only 200 grams, including the 9 volt battery it uses advanced electronic technology to provide the most reliable protection available. The unit virtually eliminates false alarms because is features a patented motion sensor which easily distinguishes between minimal wearer motion and no motion at all.

Dräger CF10 Constant Flow Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus Allows safe, effective and uncomplicated escape from hazardous environments with minimal user training. It uses a simple fail-safe pressure reducer, giving a consistent air flow rate at all cylinder pressures, while a combined diffuser and exhalation valve give an excellent air supply to the streamlined hood.  The air hood neck seal is ozone resistant ensuring seal integrity whenever the unit is used.  The Saver CF has a very low cost of ownership - with no mandatory service for 10 years.

Dräger Oxy K The Drager Oxy K offers a small lightweight escape set where the operative requires as little as possible in the way. It is worn on the chest and is only usually activated in emergency. This new set incorporates a hood giving eye protection and ease of use.
