South West Water Logo

The City & Guilds Training Scheme 6150 is the new Water Industry Standard. All regions participated in its formulation so that it would be accepted anywhere in the country. Each trainee will be trained to a pre-set standard which if successful will lead to registration of a unit which is held on a database at City & Guilds. The successful candidates will also receive a certificate for each unit passed.

6150-01 Equipment for Low Risk Entry

Training Event 6150-01 Low Risk Objectives:

Low Risk confined spaces are areas where there is easy entry/exit and natural ventilation. Candidates will be shown how to monitor the atmosphere to ensure the area is safe to work in. This unit covers how to identify Low Risk confined spaces with associated lone working and the application of appropriate procedures for NC1.

We endeavour to provide a broad spectrum of equipment for the candidates to use so that they will encounter as many different products as possible to help in actual working life.

This course is designed to instill in the candidate basic risk assessment, and planning requirements.

All candidates should be medically fit and will have to sign to self certificate to this extent prior to starting the course.

Certification is valid for a period of three years if the candidate successfully passes.

Course Price: £191.00 Per Person

Course Duration: 1 day
