Event |
 |
This City & Guilds Training Scheme 6150 is the new Water
Industry Standard. All regions participated in its formulation
so that it would be accepted anywhere in the country. Each
trainee will be trained to a pre-set standard which if successful
will lead to registration of a unit which is held on a database
at City & Guilds. The successful candidates will also
receive a certificate for each unit passed.
 |
The Low and Medium Risk event
objectives are to achieve the following retained knowledge:
- Monitoring the atmosphere and having a structured
plan of action in place to deal with any anomaly,
along with a reporting procedure.
- Use of self contained breathing apparatus as part
of the planned means of self rescue at NC1, NC2 and
NC3 category confined spaces.
- This event dictates that the entrant does not disconnect
from the rescue device.
This event covers all equipment required to deal with
a standard confined space entry along with all areas
of reporting required following an alarm to Water Industry
Standards. |
All candidates should be medically fit and will have to sign
to self certificate to this extent prior to starting the course.
Certification is valid for a period of three years should
the candidate successfully passed.
